Terms of Service

These Terms apply to Webhook Handoff, a service operated by FIRM SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS, ABN 58 769 207 406, New South Wales 2576, Australia. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the service

Webhook Handoff receives supported provider webhooks, verifies supported provider signatures, durably stores accepted Events, and attempts delivery to Destinations that you configure. It provides delivery history, automatic retries, and controlled manual replay. It is an intermediary between upstream systems and your selected Destinations; it does not control either of those systems.

2. Eligibility and private beta

The private beta is intended for business and professional use. You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to act for yourself or the organisation you represent. Access is manually selected and discretionary. The beta is currently free unless we expressly agree otherwise, and is experimental: functionality may change, be withdrawn, or be unavailable. We do not promise a service level, uninterrupted availability, or a particular response time.

Future commercial plans, pricing, quotas, and retention periods may differ. Private-beta correspondence about access may be sent to beta@webhookhandoff.com.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for protecting your password, private Source URLs and tokens, signing secrets, and Destination credentials. Tell us as soon as possible through contact@webhookhandoff.com if you suspect unauthorised access or compromise. Public registration is not available; access is provisioned manually.

4. Sources, Destinations, and Pipelines

A Source identifies an accepted provider ingress, a Destination identifies where a delivery is sent, and a Pipeline connects a Source to a Destination. You must have authority to use the upstream Source and to send data to each configured Destination. You are responsible for keeping those configurations current and for the systems you select.

5. Customer data and payloads

Webhook bodies and related content are determined by you or your upstream providers. They may contain personal, confidential, or financial information. You are responsible for having lawful authority to collect, process, and route that information, and for selecting lawful Destinations. You retain your rights in your customer data and code.

6. Sensitive data restriction

Unless we expressly agree otherwise, do not intentionally use Webhook Handoff to transmit highly sensitive or specially regulated information, including health information, government identifiers, authentication passwords, payment-card numbers, CVV or security codes, or similarly sensitive regulated data. This restriction does not prohibit ordinary personal information that may naturally occur in a legitimate webhook payload.

7. Delivery, retries, and replay

Webhook Handoff provides at-least-once delivery, not exactly-once delivery. Retries, recovery, and manual replay can produce duplicate deliveries, so you should make Destination processing idempotent where appropriate. “Delivered” means that Webhook Handoff received a qualifying successful HTTP response; it does not prove that your application completed its business processing.

Automatic retries and manual replay are provided as operational features. Their timing and availability can change, and they are not contractual guarantees. A non-retryable Destination response or exhausted retries may leave a branch failed while other branches continue independently.

8. Retention

During the private beta, accepted Event and associated delivery data is generally retained for approximately 30 days. Unresolved delivery responsibility can affect when data expires. Backups and operational, security, or legal requirements may temporarily retain information beyond active retention. Future commercial plans are expected to have differing Event retention periods.

9. Security

We use measures appropriate to the service, including tenant-scoped access controls, password hashing, protected credentials, signed webhook verification, encrypted provider signing secrets and Destination header values, outbound network controls, and durable queue/retry processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and these measures are not a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the service unlawfully or fraudulently, to send malware, impersonate another person or service, probe or attack systems without authorisation, bypass security, rate or access controls, process information without authority, or materially threaten the security or availability of the service or another user’s systems.

11. Third-party systems and international destinations

Upstream providers and customer-selected Destinations are outside our control. A Destination you select may be overseas, and sending payloads there can result in an international transfer directed by you. You are responsible for assessing those systems and transfers.

12. Suspension and ending access

You may stop using the service and may ask us to delete account or customer data. We may suspend or end access for abuse, security risk, unlawful activity, serious breach, operational risk, or because the private beta ends. We will take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances, but cannot promise instantaneous deletion from backups.

13. Ownership and feedback

You keep ownership of your data and code. FIRM SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS retains rights in Webhook Handoff, its software, documentation, and branding. If you voluntarily provide feedback, we may use it to improve the product without taking ownership of your confidential data or intellectual property.

14. Availability, warranties, and liability

We will provide the service with reasonable care during the beta. The service is experimental and is not promised to be uninterrupted, error-free, or exactly-once. You should not rely on Webhook Handoff as your sole safeguard against loss of critical business information; maintain appropriate source and destination safeguards.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on that basis and we are not responsible for systems or processing outside our control. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights.

15. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of that jurisdiction have jurisdiction.
