Stripe Webhook Quickstart

1. Create a Source

Go to Sources and create a new source with provider set to Stripe.

The new Source starts disabled. Copy the one-time webhook URL when it is shown. It contains a bearer credential and Webhook Handoff cannot display or recover it later. The canonical URL is /api/ingest/stripe/{token}.

2. Configure Stripe and enable the Source

  1. Open the Stripe Dashboard and add a webhook endpoint
  2. Paste the one-time Webhook Handoff webhook URL
  3. Copy Stripe’s endpoint signing secret
  4. Enter the signing secret on the Webhook Handoff Sources screen
  5. Explicitly enable the Source

3. Create and test a Destination

Create a Destination for your application endpoint and run an immediate Test. Test results are not retained as permanent setup state.

4. Create a Pipeline

Connect the enabled Source to the enabled Destination. Multiple Pipelines create independent delivery branches.

The signing secret is write-only after entry. Routine Source screens show only whether it is configured. Stripe signature verification is mandatory; unsigned requests are rejected.

Rotating a Source credential immediately invalidates the previous URL. Copy the replacement URL from the one-time result and update Stripe promptly.

5. Send, inspect, and replay

Trigger a test event in Stripe. You should see it appear in the Events page.

Click an event to inspect it and replay deliveries if needed.
